Head to Shimokita Peninsula from Aomori Harbor using the fast ferry called "Polar Star." We arrive at Sai Harbor seeing the gorgeous view of Hotokegaura. First, we head to Ohma, the northernmost town of the mainland. When it comes to Ohma, tuna is very famous. You can't stop eating their classic tuna bowls, where the rice is hard to see because of all the tuna topping it. As an exercise to help digestion, let's go down "Hamanasu Line" to the south and enter Shimoburo Onsengoh. This is an Onsen street which has been popular as a spa since the Muromachi Era. Day trip bathing is available from ¥300~; we recommend you heal your tired legs here. After refreshing, head to Mutsu City where the goal is located. Enjoy the hidden, popular food, such as "Alain Delon Curry" that oozes cheese when you cut the hamburg steak. Also, try the juicy "Naval Croquette" which is fried in lard.
