National Route 9 runs along Gono Line. You will see the marvelous views of the west Tsugaru coast on the left and the Shirakami Mountains on the right. Please ensure that you are hydrated because the slopes are very steep. Fukaura Town is a tuna town and is pretty close to the starting point. Local delicacy, "Magusute Don (Bowl)", has become popular in the past few years. It is a combo meal of three different bowls of Fukaura Tuna. It is so delicious. Strangely-shaped rocks in various sizes along the coast are another highlight of this trip. "Senjohjiki Coast" has the best view. It is a popular evening spot and is nominated as one of the top 100 scenic night views in Japan. If you see the curtain of dried squid, you are close to the goal. You will want to fill your mouth with some grilled squid when you finish the ride.
